Adapting Fitness Instruction for Adolescents (Level 2)
Q) So what age range does this class “adolescents” as?
A) This one’s about fitness for 11-18 year olds, when self-consciousness and peer pressure are at their prime!
Q) Ah ok, what’s involved?
A) You’ll need to have a Level 2 Fitness Instructing qualification before starting this course (don’t worry if not- we can sort you out a package, we’re good like that). We’ll show you how to adapt your fitness sessions and style to accommodate adolescents by understanding the physiological and psychological factors that they face, and how these affect their ability and attitude towards exercise- soz, we got a bit serious there, but it’s an important point. You’ll use your new found knowledge and understanding to complete some interactive workshops and some coursework.
Q) Then I’m qualified?
A) Yep! Then you can go boost their self esteem, body image and health. Your street cred will skyrocket and they might even stick with you for their adult fitness goals.
