Built by Freya: Inspiring Women Through Strength and Movement

Meet Freya!

Not many people are as aware of their bodies, or as disciplined, as trained professional dancers, and for Freya, that awareness became the key to unlocking a whole new career in fitness.

Freya’s Time at Fitasylum

Back in 2024, Freya was seeking a career change and enrolled on our Level 3 Gym Instructing & Personal Training course. Her years of dancing and passion for movement were things she wanted to share with others, and becoming a PT was the perfect way to do just that.

During her journey at Fitasylum, Freya didn’t just pick up technical skills. She was able to meet new and like-minded people, and learn how to communicate with different clients and adjust her deliveries to their learn style. One of her biggest moments? She passed her first Anatomy and Physiology exam. That’s when everything clicked, and she realised that for her, this wasn’t just a course, it was the start of a whole new career.

With the support of her tutor, Sophie, Freya powered through the course and came out the other side fully qualified.

And she didn’t wait around

Freya jumped into the industry straight away, landing a job at a gym in Manchester. And after a month of finding her feet, she hit her stride and didn’t look back!

Where is she now?

Well, today she’s specialising in female hypertrophy and mobility, inspiring women to love their bodies and love movement. Freya’s truly passionate about women’s health, empowering her clients and challenging the unrealistic and often harmful misinformation that’s all over social media.

When we asked about her proudest moment, she told us

“[Seeing] my first client completing her goals and continuing to see her working in the gym following my support.”

For Freya, like many PTs, it’s that sense of fulfilment that drives her. It’s not just helping people hit their goals, but giving them the tools to keep going long after their sessions are over.
